QuickPDFCompress is owned and operated by Uplira Studios LLC (“we”, “us”).
This policy explains what we collect and why, and how we handle uploaded files.
What we collect
- Uploaded PDFs: When you upload a PDF to compress, we temporarily process it to generate a compressed copy for download.
- Event telemetry: We log basic usage events (e.g., page view, upload started, compression success, download click) along with technical metadata like IP address and user agent to help detect abuse and understand usage.
- Email address (optional): If you submit your email for notifications, we store your email address so we can contact you about new features or limits.
How we use information
- To provide the compression service and return a compressed PDF for download.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service (e.g., monitor failures and abuse patterns).
- To contact you if you choose to submit your email for notifications.
How uploaded PDFs are handled
- PDFs are processed server-side to produce a compressed output.
- We do not edit your original file in place. We generate a new compressed copy.
- Uploaded and generated files are stored temporarily and are deleted after processing/transfer under normal operation.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information if required to comply with law, enforce our terms,
or protect the service from abuse.
Security
No online service is 100% secure. We use reasonable measures appropriate for a lightweight utility service,
but you should avoid uploading highly sensitive documents if you are not comfortable with online processing.
Your choices
- You can use the compressor without providing an email address.
- If you submit an email for notifications and want it removed, contact us (see below).
